Lac Caninum is of the homeopathic approach to medicine. It actually
comes from just where it sounds like: dog milk. I have seen it used for
over supply and for mastitis.

In this resource it is said to "dry up milk" so I am assuming that is
where the practitioner is taking the recommendation to use it for
over-supply from.
