It seems that breastfeeding seemed too difficult for them. I wonder if
asking what challenges they faced that they did not get sufficient
assistance with would help identify areas where education, procedures or
policies need improvement...  Are moms ready for the early calibration
phase of breastfeeding (baby nurses often to help increase milk
production in the first few days of life)? Are they thinking the "hungry
all the time" baby means they don't have milk or that bf will always be
that demanding?

It is frustrating when moms don't seem to just DO what they say they
were going to do, but they usually have reasons. Being kind, gentle and
non-judgemental can help you get to those reasons, to see if they are
amenable to change.

Hang in there! And feel free to keep venting to your LN friends who
truly understand!
