I've heard most, but not all, favor the right side based on observation of tonic neck and preference. BUT if infant is properly positioned at breast, I wouldn't think the baby would be turned to either side. Maybe I misinterpreted or missed some info, but who can eat/swallow comfortably and effectively when the head is turned to the right OR to the left?!? Head-turning too easily lends itself to a "cliff-hanging" baby at breast.
