Is it golden root or goldenseal? I searched my herbs books and did not find
golden root anywhere. Goldenseal and Echinacea are both fine, in fact Dr.
Sears recommends giving it to babies directly and I have myself for years
and find it very effective. Goldenseal should not be used more than 7 days
in a row and Echinacea should be used 7 days on 3 days off or any other
convenient combination with "breaks" to continue effectiveness. Astragalus
root is a great immune booster as well, one that can be used long term.
