this does sound like the baby is trying to manage the flow, ....or , is the
baby's nasal airway an issue?? ......nose stuffy? or nice and clear?

<<Mum's breasts not overlly full, let-down not fierce.>>

nevertheless, maybe baby finds the flow challenging? ...or nasal airways
stuffy?

is the same whether she feeds upright or lying down.>>.

maybe out of habit of managing flow or airway?

....have seen some babies need a few days of slower flow or better airway
strategies, before the baby realizes that the flow or airway is better and the
techniques the baby was using to manage the faster flow, or manage the less
than optimal airway, those strategies like slipping to the tip and/or stopping
to breath through the mouth, are no longer needed.
