Becky:  Since this baby regained birth weight while presumably exclusive
breastfeeding, the mom must have some functioning breast tissue.  Have
you considered a nursing supplementer?  Even if the mother never makes a
full supply for the baby, she will still have the closeness of
breastfeeding, and the baby will derive the benefits as well.  Alicia.
