I made a mistake in saying "Vermont passed legislation", it should have
read "Vermont proposed legislation".  It was late, and I got my words
crossed in my mind!  Vermont did, however, pass a joint resolution to do a
study breastfeeding in the workplace and in public establishments; to
promote awareness and education of the benefits of BF; to identify the
advantages of providing breastfeeding-friendly work environments, develop
breastfeeding-friendly policies, and recommend legislation supporting
breastfeeding in public establishments and the workplace; and to report the
results to the house Committee on Health and Welfare by January 15, 2001.
