From Journal of Pediatrics, July 1995:
Breastfeeding and Inguinal Hernia.  "Breastfeeding may represent a
protective factor against inguinal hernia."  The hypothesis is that it may
be due to hormones in breast milk.  Another benefit to add to the list!
