Fellow LactNetters:
Now I am asking help for the MD/IBCLC who has been seeing a mom for over 2
months. She started with slow weight gain and needed pumping and an SNS to
increse supply. She then developed Thrush, and was treated with Nizoral. Mom,
baby and dad were all treated simultaneously for about two weeks. Symptoms
seemed resolved. Now she presents with:
Pain in her breasts, at the sides, relieved with let-down
She describes the pain as everything from stabbing pain to pins and
needles to burning pain.
Blisters with clear liquid at nipples, usually near ducts.

Is this thrush again? If so, should she try gentian violet or an oral
med?
 Help!!!
