I say "Don't pump or introduce a bottle till breastfeeding is mastered by mom
and baby and remember that you will still need to pump anytime you miss a
feeding"
I also explain it is easier to just go ahead and breastfed.

Many mothers ask this when I see them in the hospital but I wonder how many
actually do pump. My guess is more family members just give a bottle of ABM.
Then the call comes on how do I increase my milk supply.
