Whenever someone asks about the effect of breastfeeding on likelihood of
getting (or not getting) a given illness/syndrome, etc., it is wise to
remember that MANY MANY studies are now showing a clear dose-response in
outcomes. What does this mean?

It means that the MORE breastmilk received or the LONGER breastfeeding is
continued, the LOWER the likelihood of an adverse outcome (such as
contracting an illness/disease) or the GREATER the likelihood of a postive
outcome (such as higher IQ scores).

Dose-response means that no breastfeeding is a lot worse than some
breastfeeding, which does not offer as much positive outcome as does much
more breastfeeding.

Got it? The more the better!
