Pat,
I loved your thougths on the family bed.  I never thought of it that way, in those terms.  Very thought provoking :)  And the part of the siblings sleeping together, making them closer...... maybe its not to late to try that with my 2 kids, ages 5 and 7.... maybe they wouldnt fight so much :)
