i am very glad to see a statement from IBFAN about this, because it points out
the obvious. i am not a big fan of disney, for several reasons, and it is
obvious to me that while it may be semantically correct to say that "the
dolphin is not a disney hotel," it would be impossible for me to go there with
my children and NOT take them to the disney stuff. who are we kidding here?
they aren't blind and they would see quite plainly that they were in the
neighborhood of the disney stuff.

i recall reading a statement in a LLLI publication addressing this very
question, in which they pointed out that they chose to have the conference
there in order to attract visitors from around the world who would be more
inclined to come there - and why? to visit the dolphin or to visit disney? i
mean really.
