We could even reason the other way around: those who are distracted by the
noise of a baby, are the good lc's, because they cannot ignore a baby that
babbles away or is restless. ;o)
It doesn't make sense either way, though; taking an exam is not comparable
to 'normal' live.
And even then... as I taught my girls, something they sometimes repeat in a
teasingly nagging tone: "Normal is a relative concept." :-)
We all carry our own history, in which we may not have been taken care of as
ideally as we would like and/or as we now know is best for brain
development.
That may even be one of the reasons why we chose our profession in the first
place, but we have to deal with our own brain/concentration (in)abilities
nevertheless.
We want to learn in order to be able to help other women through; for that
reason, we sit the exam and we hope to pass, which can greatly enhance
self-confidence.
Most rights come with duties, at least when we are adults. Let's give
everyone a fair chance to pass

Bye,

Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands
