One arguement I have heard from pool staff in the past is that it isn't hygenic for a mother to breastfeed her baby in/beside the pool because the baby might ingest pool water which isn't hygenic (cryptosporidium).  What they don't understand (which was mentioned by someone else on the list) is that the mother's breasts, hair, skin is covered in pool water anyway.  I have also heard concerns that the baby will spit up in the pool after a feed and then the pool would have to be evacuated.  I personally don't think either idea is much of a concern.
