Jaye,

You wrote, "does anyone have any experience with a mom with breast
hypoplasia taking domperidone and having it help the milk production at all?"

Yes I have had moms who take domperidone for low supply and hypoplasia, and
it definitely increased milk supply. What seems to work best is when mom also
takes goat's rue, a single, not in mixture, as there's more that way. I
believe I've seen this discussed before, Lisa Marasco?, on Lactnet or maybe it was
the herbal site where I got the information. If my memory serves me
correctly, I communicated with Kathryn Cox, Motherlove owner, re the advantage of using
goat's rue tincture and not the special blend. That said, though, taking
More Milk Plus and the single tincture of goat's rue and domperidone has been
done with good results. Is this mom aware of the cause of her hypoplasia? Might
she have PCOS? Then metformin could be helpful for the insulin resistance
while working with an endocrinologist for this.

Of course, the importance of frequent and thorough milk removal always
applies, as no drug or herb will work magically if the milk isn't being removed from
the breasts. I also have moms in these situations of low supply nurse for
comfort, for hiccups, for "just because" and often mom never thinks of this
because she's so concentrated on the "feed." There are many foods that increase
supply that mom can incorporate, such as oatmeal, oatstraw, etc, as well.

Hope this is helpful for I empathize with the moms who go through the
heartache of low supply and so want to give their babies their own milk; my daughter
went through this.
