that is totally ridiculous. That doctor is giving out unethical advice.
The predisposition to allergies is genetic. He should tell his moms 
with
allergies to not get pregnant.
If he wants to prevent allergy 'transmission', he should tell women to 
not get
pregnant.


Thanks for your response-I talked to the Doctor today ahd She said she 
knows this mom very well, she is emotionally immature and would not 
stay on a restictive diet necessary (in her opinion) for a potentially 
allergic kid.  I think she is being paternalistic but it is her patient 
and i can't do anything about it.  :-(
