Oh Cee. I am weeping. Thank you so, so much.

I have some very promising news. Last night they finally got him stable
enough to do a CAT scan and the scan showed two good things.

First of all, there is no obviously "dead" brain tissue. However, that
could change as his brain continues to swell. The predict the swelling
will go on for at least another 48 hours before it begins to subside. That
is normal with this type of brain injury. So the next 48 hours are super
critical as far as his brain goes.

Another good thing the CAT scan showed is that there is still some room
for swelling in his skull, so that's very, very good because, as I said,
more swelling has to occur before it stops.

He still is in a coma, so that's not so good, and he is still on a
ventilator, but his oxygen and blood gas readings are staying good.

So we are still waiting and watching, And all good thoughts are so
welcome. Just knowing you guys are thinking of our precious Ward means a
lot to me.

Please pass the message along.

Love,

Katie
