There is no problem with giving flu shots to practically anyone, it is
not a live virus, although that doesn't matter either.  You can give flu
vaccine to both pregnant women and breastfeeding women according to CDC
guidelines.
I am the Immunization coordinator for my agency and answer these
questions all day long.
Current references would include
CDC's Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases
and MDH's  Got Your Shots
