Just saw this on Medscape. Apparently, an immune reaction to fungus  has
been found to be the major cause of chronic sinusitis (40 different fungi
were found). Now, if you can have an immune reaction to fungus in the
sinuses - why not in the breast??? What I'm trying to say is that if the
Mayo Clinic believes in fungi in the nasal sinuses, may be this will help us
convince the unbelievers to believe in fungi in the breast sinuses.

"Up to now, the cause of chronic sinusitis has not been known," say the Mayo
researchers: Drs. David Sherris, Eugene Kern and Jens Ponikau of the
Department of Otorhinolargygology (ENT) at Mayo Clinic. Their report appears
in the September issue of the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings.

"Fungus allergy was thought to be involved in less than ten percent of
cases. Our studies indicate that, in fact, fungus is likely the cause of
nearly all of these problems. And it is not an allergic reaction, but an
immune reaction."
