<<Again where are the proteins in some of these foods/substances we are
discussing?>>

There's protein in everything. Even lettuce.

Having said this, I do agree with the theory that we need to meet mom
where she is, and have a feel for where she's willing to go. Absolutely.

For example, I was relatively certain from birth that Lila was
reacting to something in my diet based on the fact that she had very
irregular, rare, small bowel movements from birth. Had I not known
what I knew, I would have been convinced that she wasn't getting
enough. She was having a bowel movement every 2-5 days, occasionally
every 6-8 days. And they weren't large. It was odd. She was a
happy baby, sleeping well, spitting up frequently but not in any
discomfort. She *never* cried unless she was in her carseat and needed
to nurse. While I knew that food intolerances were lurking, I wasn't in
a spot to ferret anything out. Even when her eczema first began I
didn't do anything, since it coincided with my 2-3 week bout of eczema
from fall allergies.

Now I'm in a place to start figuring out what's bothering her and am
doing so with blood tests (IgE and IgG). had there been physical
discomfort on her part, I probably would have started earlier.
