Judy, In the situation I described about a pediatrician, pts have tried to
fire the doc but no other doc would take the baby under their care. So the
baby was not able to be in hosp w/o an attending doc (it's a rule).

There have been a few families who signed their babies out due to problems
with that doc. The main reason they signed out was on day 3 (healthy term
babies), keeping the babies for bili levels of 10. The magic number for this
doc is 10, if it's 10.1 the baby stays under bili lites another 24 hrs and
gets re-checked.
