Good point about not needing to wait if another mom was pumping.  It might
be a good idea to have a folding screen just inside the entrance to the
room, so when another person walks in it's not so startling to anyone who is
already pumping.  I'd think a movable 3-panel screen would be sufficient
(maybe moms can put up photos of their breastfed babies on it).  Just
something to provide a barrier to seeing directly into the room for anyone
entering or walking past, so the moms have a bit of privacy.

The other thing I thought was important was, since we had more than one
pumping
station in our lactation room, to make it clear that there were "two
seats- no waiting...."   In other words, I wanted mothers to not have to
feel as if they had to wait for the person already in the room to finish- we
were on time sensitive breaks- so two at once was to be expected and no one
was going to get to have the room "all to themselves."
