   hale 2000 page 346.. it is a conbination of imipenem and cilastatin. "it
is poorly absorbed orally and must be administered im or iv.  imipenem is
destroyed by gastric activity. transfer to breastmilk is probaby minimal.
changes in gi flora could occur but is probably remote"
