Another point about mastitis is definition.  Most HCPs will call any sore
breast "mastitis."  But I think in the BF community it more clearly
recognized  that there are plugged ducts (which can cause significant
problems), but are non infectious and true mastitis, a more systemic
illness caused by bacterias or viruses.  So like so much research in bf the
