The mother of a former NICU patient contacted me about the chemical smell from the Ross 3-bottle pack breastmilk containers.  Her daughter will not drink the thawed milk.  The milk was not warmed in these bottles.  She also has milk that was stored in different disposable containers that doesn't have this chemical odor.  It is not from amylase.  These bottles are supposed to be BPA free and are a flexible plastic with the recycling number 5 on the bottom.
 
I am worried about leaching of chemicals.
 
Has anyone had this problem?  Suggestions?  I would love to get rid of these bottles.   We have not had any other complaints from mothers.
