UK advice could not be clearer.  6 months exclusive.

NHS Scotland has recently come out and also stated minimum of 2 years
for breastfeeding per se - we've never had advice on how long to
continue breastfeeding for.

Recent NICE guidelines have stated that it is the role of all health
professionals to support the mother in breastfeeding for as long as she
wishes to.  First time we've had that in writing either!
