What do you think of one-sided nursing if this mom is advised not to
nurse in the breast with the small calcification? She says the surgeon and
her husband don't understand her desire to nurse her third child is very
 strong. >>

The putting of a woman's choice to provide her infant with the only gold
standard in nutrition, is being classfied as a "desire ... the surgeon and
her husband don't understand"... is it any wonder women don't breastfeed in
this country? Ugh. That said, in NYC here are two names I have heard
mentioned in terms of surgeons who are educated about breastfeeding:
James Rucinski, NY Methodist, Brooklyn, NY 718-780-3288
Deborah Axelrod, Beth Israel Med Ctr, 212-420-4332
I don't know how current these are, but good luck. :)
Judy LeVan Fram, Brooklyn, NY
