What about contacting an Occupational Therapist for some sensory integration
therapy?  I don't know much about it, but have been reading some in
preparation for my son's SI evaluation next week.  He has an autistic
spectrum disorder and his sensory system is all out of whack, including a
very *high* tolerance for pain and really off-kilter temperature regulation.

Apparently it can do amazing things for autistic children, surely it could
help this woman.
