In that case it was probably fairly comfortable.  The dermatologist here
always offers to do a scraping, rather than a culture.  The benefit would
be a more rapid answer with a scraping.  How long does the culture take?
Do other Lactnetters use cultures or scraping, or if both, when for each?
I feel very hesitant to recommend something that sounds as if it will
increase an already high level of pain.
