I'm working with a first-time mom who reports feelings of depression coming
over her while breastfeeding or pumping. It begins soon after she starts and
fades as soon as she stops. She's thrilled to be a mom, very motivated to
breastfeed, and only used a pump in the beginning because baby was in the
NICU for a few days due to mechonium, then had latch issues after the
bottles. She thought the feelings at first were related to her disappointment at
having to pump, but is now concerned that it continues with breastfeeding--
and only during that time. No other medical issues. Anyone?
