Well, I have been watching the pump debate lately on LACTNET, and I feel the
need to add my .02!! I have a "pump theory of relativity". If a mother used
a hospital grade pump, she will often feel that a Lactina (or comparable
pump) is not effective enough. If, however, she has been trying to pump with
an inferior off-the-counter pump, the PNS is a great pump! It's obvious
which pump is most effective, which is least, and where all the others fit
between. In the scheme of things, the PNS is a good option, but there is no
question that rental pumps are more effective. A lot of customers look for
convenience with the PNS. I'd like to note that if a Mom seems to be having
that much problem with milk supply, it pays to see if there is something
wrong with the pump. M*d**a does well by it's customers...
