Kathy,
When I've done these, they've always been a part of the "freebee" prenatal
meet-the-pediatrician visit. If it's a mom whose kids we see anyways it
inevitably comes up at one of their visits. If I see a mom without the
child, we bill the mom's insurance, but those visits have usually been
"hands-on", mastitis, etc.
It would seem that there ought to be a code for bf counseling, because one
exists for sexually transmitted disease counseling!

What diagnosis codes do people use for prenatal consultations with moms who
failed before and want to prevent failing again? Has anyone been reimburesed
by insurance companies for doing these?

Thanks-
