I think you it the nail on the head with "medically invasive" births.  We all see every day what this does to moms and babies.  Parents don't have a clue what normal birth is anymore.  And then they are surprised when baby doesn't know what to do - leading to more interventions.  I, for one, know that we need another childbirth revolution in the US.  Unfortunately parents don't  :-(  Pat in SNJ
