Hi. A mother nursing her 10 month old son has been identified as the best
bone marrow donor to her own leukemic brother. She is going to get
injections of a new drug, Lenograstim, a white cell colony stimulating
factor. Obviously she has been told to stop breastfeeding because they
dont' know whether it could harm her infant. I have been found some info
about Filgrastim in Hale, which seems to be quite a similar drug; I have
been trying contacting Jack Newman- did he change address? Wondering
whether you had some direct/indirect knowledge about this treatment and
its relationship to breastfeeding.
