If I may add one more to Holly's admirable list of concerns - Angelman's
Syndrome - that darling little guy drove us nuts many years ago, and was a
terrible bottle-feeder, always preferring to 'gum' it and move it off to the side
of his mouth. Took 4 years to get a diagnosis.
(If I may add my intro as well - I've been in private practice as IBCLC for over
11 years now, starting out as a CLE 18 years ago. I have lurked here for far
too long and have never been brave enough to post. I must be getting old,
because I don't care as much anymore what everyone might think! LOL!)

I agree with Holly how these babies can be scary, and I bet most of us have
seen sensory integration issues in the past, but maybe didn't know the
complexities of it all. I have a few regrets, sigh.
Also, since my youngest son, now 15, was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome,
which also took more than 4 years to diagnose, i tend to look for the 'odd' and
weird these days - or maybe the 'odd' just keeps finding me? Anyone else
ever feel like they're a magnet for all the hypoplasia cases and other 'rare'
presentations out there?
With great admiration and respect,
Alicia Burgett, IBCLC,CLE in Washington State - brrrrr!
