I edit our Q&A section on the NCT website (if you want to see it,
it's http://www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com ). We have had a question
in on behalf of a mother of twins in Italy, who reports a widespread
belief that bf has a permanent, deleterious affect on the mother's
eyesight...she's worried as she is already shortsighted.

I mean, I *know* it is absolute rubbish, and will tell her so in
polite and gentle terms ; )

But where on earth could this myth have begun, and is it prevalent
anywhere else?

There are some posts in the archives about women needing a different
prescription for their specs and their contact lenses when bf, but I
couldn't find anything very 'scientific'.
