Dear Becky and All,

On the issue of cut ducts: I recently talked to a mom on a hotline with a
2 day old baby. Mom had had an injury to her breast many years previously
and was wondering if the injured breast would produce milk. I read to her
from the Breastfeeding Answer Book, published by LLLI and it talked about
the fact that there have been reported cases of women with severed ducts
"recanalizing" and producing milk. I am sure if you looked in the back of
the section on breast problems there would be a reference.

The human body is a fascinating subject!
