 Lauren,

Diflucan is in Dr. Hale's book. It is also used in pediatric doses for thrush
in infants. Suggested treatment for nipple or ductal yeast is 200 mg STAT
followed by up to 100 mg per day for fourteen days, and weaning is NOT
necessary. Baby will get much less from what comes through the milk then it
would if it was being treated for a thrush infection receiving a pediatric
dose.

Sounds like the father may also need to be treated with Diflucan. You can
find info about Diflucan by doing a search of the Lactnet archives.

WarmLLLy,
Pat Lindsey, IBCLC near Orlando
