I totally agree with pat.
 
It is called crib death or cot death.
 
baby needs mommy, mommy's touch, skin to skin....not a decorated NSY with toys....etcc.. baby doesn;t care for beautiful decorated crib.....
 
that's for adult to look at and enjoy the look. 
Baby needs momm and daddy closeness.
 
and that does protect the baby....

I'm sure cave babies slept in mom's arms or very near mom or the saber tooth 
tigers would have gotten them and we wouldn't all be here :-)

How come we never see articles stating that babies died of SIDS while 
sleeping alone in a crib. I wonder what the figures are, crib vs mom's bed 
as site. I'd really love to see some exact figures on that.

After all, it used to be called "crib death." How come no one ever made the
