I have done an extensive search of the archives and found all
sorts of interesting stuff. My question is this:
I work in a level 3 nursery. We transport babies <32 weeks
gestation, but as soon as they are stable, they return to us.
Occasionall, we get infants<1800 grams. They have almost
always been on a combination of human milk and powdered
fortifier. We don't have access to the powdered fortifier and
usually the infant is placed on Sim30 SC 1:1 with EBM or
 expressed hind milk.
Presently we have a 1300 gram infant receiving this mixture
along with Vitamin D and one daily dose of 2 cc iron.
When, and how long are fortifiers necessary? Can we use Sim
Natural care in place of powdered fortifier?
 Thanks for any help.
