I have no answers as to the cause but reflux has been linked to allergy so
if is not dairy perhaps something else. I have worked with mother baby pairs
with similar issues with their breastfeeding babies vomiting profusely since
birth but
thriving. I found that these babies were very slow in accepting solids but
once they did the vomiting gradually decreased. It may just be that the food
or in this case ABM acts a bit like a thickener. That is one of the standard
treatments generally used for reflux i.e. to add cereal to milk. Unless the
baby is failing to thrive my recommendation would be to rather introduce
solids now that she is 6 months and focus on how well the baby is. The EBM
may just stay down because of its consistency not because it is better.
