I need the wisdom and advice of all of you. I working a large NICU. And I am finding several Moms that will not put their babies to breast unless I am there with them. I have been going over and over in my head trying to figure out what it is I am doing or saying to make them think I have to be there. I encourage them to put their babies to breast at every opportunity and that I do not have to be there. I have asked others that are around when I am working with a Mom if they hear or see anything that would make these Mothers think this way and they have not been able to give me any insight.
Any suggestions for ideas would be greatly appreciated.
