As a former phycology student of this genus, am embarassed - the correct name
of bladderwrack is Fucus vesiculosus, not F. vesiculosis, as Penelope Ody
spelled it in her otherwise worthy herb book.  Not the same species as the
Pacific one, which, taxonomically, is either one species or 200 species ( a
lumpers/splitters paradise, this one).

Pronounced FEW-cuss, ...just in case you were wondering...
