After searching the archives, I pose this question to those who work in
NICUs:
What are your NICU stats for initiation, breastfeeding at discharge, rates
at 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months?
My hospital is looking at how we compare to other NICUs and if there is a
national statistic for NICU breastfeeding initiation rates.
In 2003, we had 78% initiation rate with 91% of those still breastfeeding or
providing milk at time of discharge.
I am also interested in knowing if any of your hospitals have a
mother-to-mother support group in their NICUs.
Thanks in advance,
