I have been working with an interesting baby for the last 2 days. Baby boy
born by cx for transverse position. His chest and throat were the
presenting parts. His head tipped all the way back, his back bowed and his
legs bent at the knees.

He had a swollen throat and hated to be in any position except bowed back.
His tongue stayed on the roof of his mouth and humped up in the back when
he was sucking. Really disorganized suck. Miserable milk supply because he
had never really latched well but the mom thought he was doing fine. He had
been supplemented with a bottle though.

24 hours of suck training, pumping, PT and supplementing by finger feeding
or haberman has done wonders. His suck is fairly organized and he latches
well. Positioning is still one of the strangest I have seen though!
