Subject: Breastmilk to clean neonates sticky eyes.

Does anyone know of specific references that show that using expressed
breastmilk is evidenced based as a therapeutic measure for treating neonates
with sticky eyes? My infection control officer has not found anything to
justify
the practice. There are many references about the anti infective properties
of
breastmilk but not about the practice. Thank you for assistance.
