Rita,

I think the key here is "Mom never felt comfortable with finger,
cup...feeding." In my experience, there is only so much the LC can do in a
case like this. In fact, I have had no success in cases like that.

If a mom really wants a  rubber nipple habituated baby to go to a bare
breast she will need to take away the bottle, cup feed and do skin to skin
until the cows come home. It is so frustrating for me when they come to me
and say I want my baby to breastfeed but...I can't do anything to make it
happen.

In my experience, a chiropracter or craniosacral therapist can help...if
the mom is able to do her part...but this is not a quick fix...sorry.
