I received a warm line call today about how to wean a 16 mo old baby. Mom said
she was full feeling and down to 3x a day...and how to proceed. She thought
she had to wean, and that she might be accused of child abuse if she br fed
longer! She said accd to her religion, she should br feed 3 years, but was
hesitant to because people gave her such a hard time about it. I told her
people were misinformed and it was fine to go ahead and do it, but she might
want to choose who she does it in front of. I suggested she inform people how
important it is and educate others when she gets the opportunity. She hung up
much relieved!
