I know that the American College of Surgeons has a written policy
forbidding any children under a certain age from being present at the
forums or on the floor where the posters are displayed.  That may be the
rule they are applying in this mom's instance.  Much harder for the female
attendees.  It seems that they could make a policy that noise will not be
tolerated, which would take care of the only legitimite issues.
